Hello. Today I went to watch Bedtime Stories with my family. We went GV Grand to watch [it's at Great World City for those who don't know]. We went there early to ensure that we got good seats, then after buying the tickets, we went to eat roti prata at Food Junction.The movie was starting at 11.50am, so we went to buy our food and drinks, and then we went into the cinema. We got the hall with the really steep seats and the giant ass screen. After several trailers, the movie started.
The movie is watchable, but it isn't very good. More like a small kid's show. Many of the parts which were supposed to be funny just turned out looking lame. If you've watched the trailer, I can tell you that most of the funny scenes in the entire movie appear in that few minutes of trailer footage.
If you want to watch it with your family, that's fine, but don't watch it with friends. You should just watch the movie online and save yourself some money. It's an average movie, nothing special about it at all.
After the movie, we went to eat at Jacks Place, then I went on a fruitless hunt for Oblivion. Then we went to my sister's friend's house to collect some of their project stuff, then we went home. I helped my sister with her project for a while, then we all went to my grandparents house for dinner.
My cousins bought Nerf guns, so I was shooting my brother and cousins like crazy. We were playing a real life Gears of War. We used walls as cover, I used blind fire, and I used pillows as shields. I also used my cousin as a meat shield once.
Once we got home, I started to use the computer. For some reason, the new Bleach and Naruto chapters aren't up yet, so I guess we'll have to wait tomorrow. I was looking at the list of games that will be out in 2009, so I decided to make a list of the games I'm looking out for next year.
This list is made up of games appearing on the Xbox 360, because I don't give a shit about any other console. Anyways, here it is:

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: ConvictionThis is the first Splinter Cell game that plays differently. While previous Splinter Cell games are heavily focused on stealth, Splinter Cell conviction features open world game play while maintaining the stealth elements. While you had to hide in the shadows in previous games, now you have to hide in crowds of people.

Bionic CommandoThe game looks plain awesome. And there hasn't been a single negative comment in previews for the game yet. Also, it is made by Capcom. How can it be bad?

The Godfather IIThe original Godfather game is probably the only game that came close to surpassing Grand Theft Auto. The game is basically an adult's GTA. Sure, GTA is already mature rated, but the violence in GTA isn't a big deal compared to the stuff that happens in the Godfather games.

Street Fighter IVThe game looks beautiful, and according to the previews so far, it plays beautiful too. Instead of having to wait for my turn to play it at the Bugis arcade, I'd rather have my own personal copy.

DamnationThe is a third person shooter game that actually does something new. When playing the multiplayer of a shooter game, it is not uncommon for a map to have more than one level. The upper levels are usually accessed by stairs, slopes, gravity lifts, teleporters or ladders. Not in this game. To get to higher levels, player must use grappling hooks. The hooks also allow players to pull themselves into cover, and towards or away from the enemies.

Halo WarsI don't really care about this game, because it's a strategy game, but it come with the Halo 3 Mythic map pack, so I need to buy it. It's still a Halo game, so it might be good.

Resident Evil 5This is probably going to be Game of the Year 2009. There's zombies in it, it's set in Africa, the story seems good, there's online co-op, controls seem right, graphics and voice acting are awesome. This game is going to kick ass.

The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark AthenaThe original Riddick game is considered one of the greatest games of the previous generation. This game plays the same as the previous game, the neck needle healing method is back, Vin Diesel is doing voice acting again, and the graphics are almost photo realistic. If it can even be three quarters as good as Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay, it's going to be a great game.

Eat Lead: The Return of Matt HazardI'm not too convinced about this game, but it looks fun, and it is Matt Hazard, so I'll just keep an eye out for it.

PrototypeLooks cool as hell, I'm going to buy it no matter what. You play a guy called Alex Mercer, and he's infected by a disease that pretty much allows him to pwn everything. Some times, playing as something god-like is a good thing.

Dark VoidThis game is a third person shooter that features vertical combat. You shoot on horizontal maps, but there are also times when you shoot your way UP vertical places. You use ledges as cover, and you occasionally have to avoid falling debris. Also, you can use a jet pack that allows you to fly all over the place, and nothing is cooler than flying.

X-men Origins: Wolverine
If you read one of previous posts, the one where I was talking about this game, you'll know that this game has high potential. Here's hoping it will actually be good.

Ghostbusters: The Video GameThe game looks good. You can switch from first to third person, you capture ghosts side by side the original ghostbusters, you get to drive around in the ghostbusters vehicle, and you get to use a proton pack. Also, there are epic bosses, including the Stay Puft marshmallow man.

Looks like the Matrix on crack. Enemies are constantly firing bullets your way as you dodge them in various acrobatic ways, after that you can return the favour with your own guns.

BorderlandsIt's something like Fallout 3; an open world game where guns play an heavy role. However, the major difference between this and Fallout 3 is that Borderlands has 4 player co-op.

Blood BowlThis one might turn out good, but there are equally high chances that it will suck. Either way, playing a super violent version of rugby using teams of orcs, trolls and other mystical creatures could be fun.

Hei$tRemember that cool bank robbery level in Grand Theft Auto IV? Didn't you wish that other missions would be similar? Hei$t is an open world game where you control a member of a crew of bank robbers. The places you rob slowly get more and more high risk, and eventually, you'll rob the city Mint. If they manage to pull this on off, I'll be seriously impressed.

Highlander: The GameI dunno much about this game, but you get to play as sword fighting immortals. That's good enough.

Just Cause 2The first game was fun, and there's going to be more than jungle environments in this game. Also, the grappling hook will be used in new ways.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2: Fusion
Marvel Ultimate Alliance is the best 4 player beat em up game so far in this generation. Good level design, a large roster of characters, and epic boss fights. All this will return in the sequel and this time, and a heavy emphasis has been placed in combining attacks to for new attacks. No screenshots for this one yet.

Rogue WarriorIt's a shooter game, and there's nothing special about that, but it's being made be Bedestha Softworks. Now you're interested too right?

SaboteurThis game takes place in the WWII era, but it isn't a shooter. Instead it is more focused on stealth game play. When the game starts, the entire game world will be in black and white, but as you liberate areas from Nazi troops, colour gets restored into these areas. Eventually, colour will be restored to the entire game world.

Shadow HarvestIt's just a normal shooter game, but there's a dual story line. Not much else about this game has been revealed.

Sky Gods
Another shooter game. This one involves tons of ariel based firefights. You shoot while free falling, you shoot while on an airplane, you shoot while you're decending with a parachute. You get the idea. Also, there is 8 player co-op. No screenshots for this one yet.

Wanted: Weapons of FateThe trailer looks sick, and bullet curving looks incredibly fun to do. An assassin style cover system, which involves fast movements and acrobatics is also used in the game. The plane level in the trailers look awesome.

This game is so huge I don't even feel like describing it. Basically, you are Rubi, who's like this hot babe. There's two warring factions, and there's double crossing, allies, enemies, guns, swords, and drugs. Rubi is also very acrobatic and she is awesome at killing using weapons.

Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost and Damned
Alright, this isn't really a full game. It's just an expansion pack, but it is XBOX 360 EXCLUSIVE. Muahahaha. And the next expansion pack is XBOX 360 EXCLUSIVE too. Muahahaha. I'm not uploading a screenshot because it is the same as GTA IV.

Champions OnlineA follow up to the wildly popular online PC game City of Heroes will also be coming to the Xbox 360. You get to create a hero and villian at the start of the game, and these two will eventually clash at the end of the game.

Scratch: The Ultimat DJIt's like DJ Hero. It'll be coming with a turn table controller. Now all they have to do is make a percussion drums and keyboard game, then we will have enough plastic instruments to play a Slipknot song.

Graphics are awesome, and it plays like Gears of War. You can play as human or machine. Could be good. No screenshots yet for this one.

Bioshock 2: Sea of DreamsIt's a prequel to Bioshock. That's all I have to say. I mean, IT'S BIOSHOCK.

Brutal LegendYou play as Jack Black and you kick ass using an axe shaped electric guitar. The idea might seem lame, but the game's colourful visuals, interesting design and humour might just make this one good. There's blood and swearing in it, so it isn't a child's game.

Halo 3: ODSTIt's a Halo 3 campaign expansion pack. No much information has been given about this one, but you control an ODST troop instead of Master Chief. Also, the gameplay is said to have been changed. Changed for the better or worse, no one knows yet.

It's the brainchild of the guy behind the Devil May Cry games. You control Bayonetta, who is a witch. She has 4 pistols, two held in her hands and two strapped to her boots, a massive sword , and as if those aren't enough, her hair is magically enchanted and it can be used in both offensive and defensive ways. Since her entire suit is made out of hair, it gets less and less as you use more magic attacks, eventually leaving her almost naked.
There's bad new and good news for this one. Bad news first: We don't know if Infinity Ward will be developing this, and we don't know the release date yet. Now the good news. It's modern warfare again. Hell yeah!!
It's rumoured, and it might not even be out by next year. But judging from how awesome the previous Doom games were, it's pretty safe to say that this one will be awesome too. Obviously no screenshots.

Not announced yet, but we all know it's coming. I'm getting it since I have the most of the other Guitar Hero games other than the original Guitar Hero, because that one isn't on the Xbox 360. No screenshots.
It's Guitar Hero, and it's ****ing Metallica man. And since it's Metallica, the songs will most likely be incredibly difficult. Nice. Do I even need to consider if I should buy this? No screenshots yet.

This is a game that allows you to play as a survivor of a huge earthquake. Along the way, you have to make decisions whether to save or betray others in order to ensure your survival.
It's basically Grand Theft Auto set in the 1950s. The graphics are pretty cool.
Sequel to Mass Effect. More aliens, more story, more epic bosses, and hopefully more alien sex.
Overlord II
The next Overlord game. Since I never got to play the first Overlord, I decide to wait for this one.
SplatterhouseThis one is pretty cool. You're this average guy and your girlfriend gets kidnapped. You put on this cursed mask, and you turn into a badass, unstoppable behemoth of a man, and you use a many brutal melee weapons as possible to pwn. As you get damaged, the muscles will get revealed, and eventually, you will be able to see your character's bones. Little injuries like that aren't going to stop him though.
It's a shooter game, but what's unique about the Timesplitters series is the way it doesn't take itself seriously. Instead, it choses to let players play through parodies of other top notch shooters like Halo, Gears of War and Resistance. It's like the Scary Movie of video games, but unlike Scary Movie, the game is actually looking good.
For a really long time, the Watchmen series was said to be impossible to film, since it featured a storyline too complex, and way too many complicated characters. However, the Watchmen movie is coming out next year, so I don;t see why a game about Watchmen cannot be made. The graphics and gameplay look good, and the fact that it is actually a downloadable episodic arcade game makes it even more impressive.
