Hello. Today was a good day. I did not have to attend school. I played online. I went out. I got the stuff I wanted. I kept my promises.
I woke up quite early today. My siblings were both at school, and my parents went out for breakfast, so that means I had the computer, television and Internet connection all to myself. I used the computer for a while, then I went onto Xbox Live.
I downloaded the game Ernest told me about. It's a free Xbox Live Arcade game. Basically, there was a competition held by Doritos [the chips] last year, and contestants had to make an arcade game. We were then allowed to try the watered down versions of the games on the Doritos webpage., and then we had to vote for our favourite.
Anyways, the one that won is called Dash of Destruction. You can play as either a T-Rex or a Doritos truck. As the T-Rex, your goal is to eat a certain number of trucks, while as the truck, you have to avoid the T-Rex while making deliveries.
The game is pretty fun, and it's free. Also, the 200 Achievement points the game offers are incredibly easy to get. After playing the game for a little more than 5 minutes, my Gamerscore had increased by 200 points.
After a while, Ernest came online and I joined his party with two other people. I played a few Halo 3 matches with them. I think I really suck at Halo now. I haven't played online for about a year, and so many new game types have emerged. Also, I haven't really played on most of the newer maps yet, so I was kinda lost during some of the matches.
I stopped playing after a while and I took my shower and changed my clothes. Then my father told me the best two sentences I have ever heard from him. He said, "From now onwards, you can control your own expenses. If you have the money, then you can buy whatever you want."
Wow man, that's like god-mode turned on. I always had to ask my dad if I could buy stuff, but now I can buy anything I want. This year is starting to look great already.
I went to my cousin's school at 1.30pm to fetch him, because I promised him that I'd do that. After that I walked to Tiong Bahru Plaza with my cousin and grandmother. Along the way I met Desiree and I passed her my ten year series books. After that I chatted to my cousin while he had his lunch, then I went to meet Say Yin at Plaza Singapura.
Say Yin went to a shop to buy a new bible, then we went to Comics Connection to look for the games I wanted. Since there was the "Buy 2 EA Games, Get $20 off" offer, I wanted to get Mirror's Edge and Rock Band. However, Comics Connection only had Rock Band, so we went to another shop.
In this shop, there was Mirror's Edge, but no Rock Band. I was kinda pissed by then, so we left the place and we went to Vivocity. I couldn't find the two games there either. The shops either had one but not the other, or they didn't have both games at all. We went to the food court to eat, and I lost my Avenged Sevenfold badge there, but I don't really care because Avenged Sevenfold isn't that good.
We bought the cheese cake sticks and I bought a vanilla puff from some shop, then we took a train to Tiong Barhu Plaza. I checked at the Comics Connection there, and they happen to have bought games. So I got both of them for only $105. What a bargain.

I'm now officially damn terrified of the Comics Connection woman because 1) She knows my name [probably because I wrote it on the Fable 2 pre-order list], and 2) Why does she have to talk to me in an act cute way with a pouting face? Hey, I'm like sixteen and a half years old man, and you're like in your mid twenties. Stay away.
After I got the games, we went to Tiong Bahru Market to eat ice kachang, then we walked back to Tiong Bahru Plaza and Say Yin left. I went back to my primary school because I also promised to fetch my other cousin.
After fetching him, I went to my grandparent's house to slack for a while. I watched Ben 10 for a while, and I wanted to stay to watch Ben 10 Alien Force, but my mother called and asked me to get back home.
I got back home and read the new issue of Time magazine for a while, then my whole family went to Monfort Secondary School to fetch my brother. We got there at 8.30pm but he only finished at 9pm, so we had to wait for quite a while.
Once I got home, I put Rock Band into my Xbox and I downloaded "Afterlife" by Avenged Sevenfold. The song caught me by surprise. I played it on Hard mode. It is really easy until the solo part. I am not used to the Rock Band square note buttons, and it makes spotting hammer ons and pull offs harder. Since the solo is pretty much purely hammer ons and pull offs, I got dangerously close to failing the song.
That's probably one of the hardest songs though. I tried playing other songs and I got 100% for almost everyone on Hard mode. Even on Hard mode, Rock Band is so easy that it is almost impossible to miss. I think I can play the Rock Band story mode on Expert difficulty.
Ok, my father wants to use the computer now. I might upload Mirror's Edge and Rock Band videos tomorrow if I feel like it. It's been a while since I made a video with commentary, so I'll try my best to get the videos done by tomorrow. Ending off, see you tomorrow.
