Hello. I spent today almost like I spent yesterday. I played games for almost the entire day, but at least I went out and watched TV. Yes, I can be almost normal if I want to.

I woke up at 11am and I started playing Rock Band. I did vocals on "Afterlife" by Avenged Sevenfold. I played on Medium mode and I got 99%. There is one note which I just can't seem to hit. It's a really low note so every time I try to sing it it comes out too high.

I completed the solo guitar career on Hard mode. The last batch of songs were challenging, and it was almost as if these songs were actually--gasp--HARD. Anyway, once I completed it, I got a message saying "Congratulations, you have crushed what most people flee from." That's a really satisfying message.

But I didn't know that people don't dare to play Hard mode. It's not as if it's HARD or anything. For completing the career, I got 90 Achievement points. When you complete a game on a higher difficulty, you usually get Achievements for completing the game on a easier difficulty as well. That's what happened to me.

I also got some other easy Achievements. One required me to 100% a song on Expert mode guitar. The other required me to 100% a song on Expert mode bass with upward strumming only. Easy points.

Since today was the first time I tried playing the Rock Band bass, I found out something unique about it. When playing guitar, drums and vocals, you can get the streak multiplyer up to 4x, and double it to 8x using Starpower. However, the bass streak multiplyer goes up to x6, and x12 with Starpower.

I finally played Mirror's Edge. I've played the entire prologue in the demo, so that was nothing new, but the first chapter was cool. You get to this huge company building, and when you get in, you find Faith's sister Kate inside, along with a guy named Robert Pope. Robert happens to be dead. Shot in the head.

Some one killed him, and he was trying to frame Kate. Kate is a cop, so she declines Faith's offer to escape, since that would make it look as if she was actually guilty. Then the SWAT team decided to enter the building. Upon seeing Faith, they start chasing her.

So you have to escape from the building through air ducts, then once you get outside, a helicopter gives chase. With the helicopter behind you, and it's gunner firing bullets all around you, you have to get down to street level. The cops cordon off all escape routes, so you have to head for the subway.

Eventually, you get up to street level once more before leaping through the glass roof of an underground walkway. You'll meet another Runner named Greg there, and he'll help you escape.


I found this video on youtube. It's basically a group of short clips about Slipknot that were made for something like an "Artist of the Month" campaign on MTV. I dunno which ones were actually accepted and aired though. Anyways, watch at your own risk, but you should check it out because it's hilarious:



That was kinda disturbing, wasn't it? But then again, it's Slipknot, so you should have expected that kinda thing when you clicked on play. Mick, Craig, Joey and James were not in the video because they had other stuff to do like recording sessions, interview, sound checks, etc.
