Hello. Today Say Yin and Sebastian came to my house to jam with plastic instruments. We swapped instruments for a few songs, but most of the time Sebastian was playing the drums, and Say Yin and me took turns playing guitar and bass.
I woke up at 9.30am and I started playing Rock Band. I played it for a while, then I got bored so I went onto Xbox Live. I played a few matches of Call of Duty 4 online, then Say Yin and Sebastian came.
We played Rock Band for a while, then we played Guitar Hero World Tour. I felt much more awake after playing the first song on World Tour. After playing Rock Band for quite a while, it felt good to finally play a song which actually requires skill.
We tried playing Guitar Hero World Tour with an Expert mode band, but I don't think we managed to pass any song. It was funny "Scream Aim Fire" by Bullet for my Valentine. We failed it right at the start, probably about 1% into the song.
After that we played Halo 3 for a while. We played Juggernaut, then several rounds of Infection. Ernest and New Blood joined the game and we played Team Slayer. It was Ernest and New Blood vs the three of us. We got raped.
After that we played a few matches of Call of Duty 4. We went to Tiong Bahru Plaza to eat lunch, and there was another nice looking outfit at the clothing shop. So now I got to buy two sets of clothes for Yiling. Whatever, just as long as the total cost is within the budget. I think she'll look really nice in them, especially the purple one.
Once we got back we played Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe for a while, then we played Naruto: The Broken Bond, and Call of Duty: World at War after that. We finally played Guitar Hero World Tour and Rock Band again, then I had to turn off the Xbox to prevent it from burning up.
I watched them play PSP for a while, then they left. I ate dinner and watched TV, then I helped my sister with some Science. I already retired from Science ever since the O level was over, so it felt screwed up to have to read a Science textbook again.
After that I used the computer and started reading One Piece. I'm almost up to date with the series; I'm only left with another 20 chapters or so. After I complete reading One Piece, I don't think I want to read any other manga series for a while. Bleach, Naruto and One Piece are enough for now.
I just read a Western comic series called "Welcome to Tranquility". It's kinda interesting. Tranquility is basically a place where retired heroes and villains stay. While the place is peaceful most of the time, there is occasionally a crime or two, but the residents of Tranquility can pretty much take care of them selves.
There are even some major events that happen, like when the mayor of the town turned on everyone, and everyone tries to stop him. However, that isn't too easy since the guy is nearly invulnerable to all physical damage. He eventually gets stopped by one of the heroes.
After losing his memory many years ago, the old man, Kevin, forgot the secret word that allowed him to transform to his alter ego. With the help of his former arch enemy, he finally remembers and he transforms and goes to face the mayor.
The mayor is has powers that render make him invulnerable to most things, but Kevin's power is invincibility. So he kicks the mayors ass with everyone else and things get quiet for a while, then another guy comes along, and he happens to be a spawn of Satan.
The new guy is eventually taken down by a hero named Coyote Kid. He shot the demon through the eye with a bullet carved from some holy stuff. Coyote Kid dies in the end, but his spirit joins the other four spirits that he worshiped.
Now the series is called "Welcome to Tranquility: Armageddon". Only the first few chapters have been released, so I'm eagerly waiting for more.
Some news:
-The people over at VGCharts just realised that Wii Sports is the top selling game of all time. Also, candy is sweet, grass is green and fire is hot.
-Resident Evil 5 producer Jun Takeushi claims that Japanses gamers are getting alienated as most Japanese game developers are making games that appeal more to Western gamers.
-Electronics company Brando has created a USB charger that charges your PSP, DS, Gameboy Advanced SP, iPod/iPhone and handphone--at the same time!! Pure genius.
-Square Enix is probably bringing puzzle game Yosumin to Xbox Live Arcade.
-There are rumours that Lego Rock Band is being developed. I don't believe the rumours though. When you actually play the game, you just look at the notes you are playing, not the background. There could be dancing monkeys dressed up as clowns in the background for all I care.
-An unannounced game titled "Stormbirds" was recently cancelled. What a waste, it actually looked pretty good.
-Best Buy vending machines now selling portable games and handheld consoles in public places like airports and subways. Don't get too excited though, since it's only happening in the US.
Ok, I'm going to finish reading One Piece now. Ending off, see you tomorrow.
