Hello. Today I went out to have my breakfast again, then I came back home. I had to entertain a visitor for about an hour. None of the things that happened within that hour is important to you, but if you really must know, then I'll tell you that certain parts of me now hurt like crap. Well, you want pleasure, then you have to bare with the pain.
Whoa, I was being all cryptic back there. Once I was alone at home again, went into an Achievement frenzy with Mirror's Edge. I completed the game, and I did all the easier Achievements.
After all that, my Gamerscore went up by 355 points, totaling up to 12,695 points. The funny thing is that barely two weeks ago, my Gamerscore was about a 1000 points less than what it is now. My target of 20,000 points by end of this year is really looking possible now.
I also played a bit of Rock Band. I'm playing a lot of Practice mode so that I can get a perfect score for some of the trickier guitar riffs in the game. Right now, I can play the "...And Justice For All" solo with 96% accuracy and the "Afterlife" solo with 88% accuracy, both on Hard mode. Not good enough.
I also made of video of the Lord of the Rings: Conquest demo for those who are interested. I skipped the lengthy tutorial part, but I play as all 4 classes, and as Isildur in the video. Here it is:
Today a few new game videos from CES 2009 went up onto the Internet. Most of them are game presentations, and there are a few trailers as well. Here are some of the better ones:
First, there are a few Halo Wars videos. Halo Wars, which launches on 28th February 2009, is a Real Time Strategy game about the Halo universe. The game takes place 30 years before the events of the first Halo game:
Then there are some Prototype game play videos, as well as a trailer. Prototype is an open world action Role Playing Game. You control Alex Mercer, a man who wakes up to discover that he has incredible powers, but his memory is gone. He cannot trust anyone, so he has to be a one man army. Until he finds out the one responsible, everyone will suffer his wrath.
These videos are must-watch. They are too awesome. I cannot wait for this game. There is no exact release date yet, but it will be any day from 10th to 20th of April 2009:
Wow, I just saw something on the Internet. Look at this picture:

Seriously, just how much of an asshole can Sony be? No other company compares their console to the competitors in such an arrogant way. So basically they're saying that the PS3 is the most affordable since it has better features than the Wii, and it is cheaper than the 360.
Dear Sony, here's a letter for you:
[Start] I know you'd like to feel all superior due to the crappy state your console sales is in, but really, you guys should think before doing such a thing. I'm not going to bother about the Wii because most gamers don't even consider it a game console.
First of all, if you buy an Xbox 360 Arcade, you are a ****ing idiot. So you buy a standard 360, and that costs US$299, complete with 60GB HDD and all.
Second, Wi-Fi is great, but nothing is wrong with using the free Ethernet cable that comes with the 360.
Third, sure, Xbox Live costs US$50 a year, but people don't mind paying for quality, compared to some free, newly established online service.
Fourth, according to recent polls, no one actually gives a shit about Blu-Ray, since the graphical difference is barely noticeable when compared to HD DVD, and the storage space is not a big issue to most game developers.
Fifth, HDMI output is no big deal. It's just a matter of the number of wires lying around behind your TV, and frankly, no one is really bothered by that. And what's the point of mentioning something that's missing in only earlier 360 consoles? If that's so important, why is there no mention of the lack of rumble in early PS3 controllers?
So, in the end, the Xbox 360 actually costs only US$299 to be game ready, unless you are extra, while the PS3 costs US$399. So there you have it Sony, in your face. Now please stop making random claims and stuff like that. Instead, you should actually consider trying to make your console sell better :D [End]

Ok, I need to go and sleep now because I need to wake up early tomorrow morning to go and see some braces specialist dentist. Ok, ending off, see you tomorrow.
