Hello. Today was quite a boring day. Now I have to wake up before 9am everyday, because it's not healthy to wake up too late. So I woke up at about 8.45am, then I went to the temple with my family.
After that we got home and I went to use the computer. I was checking out the various Junior College and Polytechnic websites. I'm trying to see which one is more suited for me. JC is like normal school, while poly is completely different.
Poly also has video game related courses. While I'm more interested in doing a video game script rather that programming one, it could be a useful skill. There's also game level design courses, and that's what I really need right now. I have everything planned out for my future game, from the story to the characters to the graphic style, but I don't know how to put everything into interesting levels.
Also, these video game related courses allow you to go to gaming universities in the USA, which is what I have always been planning to do. If I go JC, I'll have to get into University, or else I'll be stuck with a crappy A level certificate, whereas if I go to poly, I will have a degree that can actually get me a decent job. I'll see my results first, then I'll decide everything.
I started looking for more muscle building exercises on the Internet. I figured that since I can't eat so much food, and I'm probably going to lose a bit of weight, I might as well just get more muscles while I'm at it.
So for the whole of today, I have been doing a set of exercises for back, shoulder, leg and abdominal muscles, as well as exercises for triceps and biceps. I was doing one set every two hours. So now I feel damn tired, and my body hurts, which is the feeling I usually get after coming home from the gym.
When I checked my weight in the evening, I found out that I have lost about 4kg since I last weighed myself in the gym, which was like 2 weeks ago. At first I thought that the weighing scale was screwed, so I got my sister and brother to get on it as well, and they both weigh the same as last time. So unless they both happened to put on 4kg, I guess it's safe to say that the machine is right.
This is the first time I have actually lost that much weight in that short period of time. Now I just need to lose another five more kilograms, and I need to grow ten more centimeters, then I'll be happy.
I tried to play Xbox for a while, but I'm bored of my games. I seriously hate this time of the year. Usually, the first three months of the year is like the drought season for gaming, and almost no good games come out. This year is looking better, with Street Fighter IV in February, and Resident Evil 5 in March, but it still sucks to have to wait.
So since I had nothing to do, I considered going some where to ride my bike. But since I haven't cycled for like 2 years, of course the wheels of my bicycle are almost deflated. I need to pump them up first. So damn it, no cycling for me today, although I really wanted to do it. I think a few of us should go to East Coast Park to cycle before school starts.
Every since I started playing Guitar Hero World Tour and Rock Band, my taste of music has been expanding to a wider range of genres. I have been listening to many songs that aren't metal in anyway. At one point of time I even stopped listening to the Slipknot songs in my play list.
My last night I just realised how much Slipknot owns. I was listening to some of their songs I have never listened to before, and I was reminded why I got into metal music in the first place. Now I feel much more like myself.
But I'm not going to stop liking other music. There are great songs from other genres as well. There's "Re-Education Through Labour" by Rise Against, which is pretty much the coolest modern rock song I have ever heard, and there's great classics like "Prisoner of Society" by the Living End.
I've been typing my script for the past few hours, so now it's about time I took a break. I'm going to check for any new CES 2009 news. While I wait for the other sites to load, I just remembered something funny that happened early yesterday morning.
I was listening to music from my phone while lying down on my bed. So my headphones were in my ears, and the volume was pretty high and all. I was listening to the new Slipknot songs I put into my phone, but I was dozing off at the same time.
So after a while I was already asleep, but the music was still playing. It played until a song called "Eyeless" by Slipknot, and I slept through most of the song, but at the last few seconds, there is a part where Corey yells "MUTHAF*******************************" for like five seconds straight, and there is no background music, only his voice.
So at that part, I got a huge shock and I sat up in my bed, like when you wake up from a nightmare. Then I took my phone and threw it at my shelf. I didn't even know that I did that, probably because I was still half asleep, but I found my phone on the shelf in the morning.
I think my phone is going to break soon, but that's fine by me. I'm just waiting for an excuse to get my phone destroyed, but the SIM card and memory stick must be safe, then I can buy a new phone and I can use the memory stick for something else.
Some news:
-Sony seems pretty interested in making more PS3 games 3D capable, probably since 3D HDTVs are getting pretty popular. To me, it just looks like the Virtual Boy all over again. After Virtual Boy, no one gives a shit about "virtual reality", and after this, I don't think any one will give a shit about the 3rd dimension.
-Xbox 360 exclusive Japanese Role Playing Game Star "Ocean: The Last Hope" release date has been moved to February 24th 2009.
-Burnout Paradise Legendary Cars DLC pack has been confirmed to contain the following cars: De Lorean from
Back to the Future, Ecto-1 from
Ghostbusters, KITT from
Knight Rider, and General Lee from
Dukes of Hazzard. Each car has it's own unique features. De Lorean can transform into a hover car, Ecto-1 has some unrevealed boost specialty, KITT has a distinct set of front lights when boosting, and General Lee has the trademark blaring horns.
-Kenny Kravitz song pack going onto Rock Band this week.
-Gears of War 2 writer Joshua Ortega, and Dominic Santiago voice actor Carlos Ferro are working on a new project about a "Latino superhero". Right now, it's a comic book project, but Ferro says that they won't rule out the possibility of it becoming a game.
-The CEO of Novint, the company which created the Falcon controller, wants the controller to be available for consoles by year end 2009. For those who dunno what the Falcon controller is, it's basically a device with powerful force feedback motors, so when you get hit in the game, you will feel a impact on your hand, and you will feel recoil as you fire your weapon. Picture below:

-It is rumoured that a casual Zelda game is on the way.
-There is now an easy storage solution for Rock Band instruments. It is called the AK Rock Band box, and fits the drum kit, two guitars, and the microphone. I'm sure you could fit the game in there as well. It comes with a collapsible drum stand. But it isn't cheap. It will be sold at US$300. And it doesn't work for Guitar Hero World Tour instruments. Picture below:

-Microsoft wants to increase the Xbox Live 100 friends limit. It's about time. Why does there even have to be a limit to the number of friends we can have.
Ok, I'm going to watch TV now. Loney Planet Bluelist [FIONA XIE :D] and Reaper after that. Tomorrow is the day the GCE O level 2008 results will be released. Make sure you're in school by 2pm if you took the exam last year!! And wear school uniform or else you'll be the last few to get the results.
Those of you worried about the results, I hope this simple instructions will help you:
1) See O level results.
2) Laugh hysterically and talk to self.
3) Look for nearby wall.
4) Run.
5) If body is still functionable, suck on finger.
6) Look for electrical socket.
7) Put wet finger in socket.
8) If body is still functionable, jump a) Into busy road
b) Of building
c) Into ocean with a boulder tied onto your feet.
Haha, I'm just kidding [obviously]. Just be happy with the results you get. What's done is done, no use crying over spilt milk. Anyways, I'm sure we'll all do fine, considering the standard our seniors have been getting for the past few years. Good luck guys. Ok, ending off, see you tomorrow.
