Hello. The topic for today is:
Dante is the cool and charismatic protagonist of the Devil May Cry series. His mother was a human, and his father was a demon. Due to his father's blood, he has incredible powers which include super strength and stamina, enhanced reflexes and agility, the ability to transform into a demon, and NEAR IMMORTALITY.
However, Dante is not like other demons. Due to his mother's human blood flowing inside of him, he is humane and compassionate, and he understands the concept of feelings. Also, Dante is one of the coolest characters in video game history. He loves to joke, and he often taunts his opponents during a fight. However, once Dante gets serious, there are few things that can stop him.
While Dante himself is very deadly weapon, he prefers to use other enchanted weapons to bring the pain. And when it comes to weapons, Dante has an arsenal of them. New weapons are introduced with every new game, and after four Devil May Cry games, Dante has enough weapons for me to be able to make a guide to them.

MELEE

Force Edge-This is the first weapon that Dante starts out with at the beginning of the series. It is a large claymore.
Alastor- This is an enchanted sword of lightning. It cannot be wielded by anyone as it has a powerful will of its own, but Dante can use it as his will is stronger.
Ifrit- This is a pair of enchanter fire gauntlets. Like Alastor, it can only be wielded by Dante as it has a powerful will of its own.
Sparda- This is a powerful sword that once belonged to Dante's father. It was formed by combining Force Edge with a mystical artifact called the Perfect Amulet.
Rebellion- This was a gift from Dante's father, and it would later become the iconic sword that Dante uses for the rest of the series. Dante is most skilled at using Rebellion among all other swords, and he is able to channel demonic energy through the blade to perform moves like the trademark Stinger and Million Stab. Rebellion has equal amounts of damage, speed and range.
Vendetta- This sword is very heavy, even to some one like Dante, so it has a very slow striking speed. It also has a short blade, making its range very low as well. However, Vendetta more than makes up for its lack of speed and range with its damage. A direct hit by this beast is able to kill a demon, and the impact is enough to knock back nearby enemies.
Merciless- This is a light, long bladed sword. It isn't very damaging, but it has a longer range than Rebellion and Vendetta, and it can strike a whole lot faster. In fact, Dante is able to use the speed of Merciless to easily deflect bullets being fired at him no more than a meter away.
Cerberus- This is an ice elemental shanchaku, which is a nanchaku with three rods. It has a 360° striking range, making it a perfect offensive and defensive weapon. It can also summon ice shards that can trap enemies, kill enemies, or defend Dante.
Agni and Rudra- These are a pair of serrated scimitars. One is fire natured while the other is wind natured, and their elements can be used to boost each others powers. Agni and Rudra are actually sentiment and they are constantly chatting and arguing with each other. Dante eventually makes them shut up by agreeing to take them along with him on the condition that they stop talking.
The Nevan- The Nevan is a demonic electric guitar. It can be used like a scythe. This weapon rocks so hard that it causes bolts of lightning to fall from the sky as Dante shreds on it, and it also releases swarms of electric bats.
Beowulf- These are a pair of light elemental gauntlets that once belonged to Dante's evil brother Virgil, but after Virgil was defeated, Dante took the gauntlets for himself. Beowulf can be used to perform devastating martial arts moves at the speed of light.
Gilgamesh- This is a set of gauntlets and boots, and it also includes a face protector. Gilgamesh can be charged before attacking, naking the blows much more painful. When in combat, a face protector covers the bottom half of Dante's face, and a stinger is extended from each of the gauntlets. Gilgamesh is a close range weapon that requires a balanced offense and defence to be used properly. A single blow from Gilgamesh is enough to shatter concrete.
Yamato- This is a sword that once belonged to Dante's evil brother Virgil. It is an incredibly powerful katana that is able to slice into another dimension. While it is consider and melee weapon, it has never actually hit anything before since the impact produced by simply swinging it is enough to destroy entire building that are hundreds of meters away.

RANGE

Ebony and Ivory- These are two enchanted handguns that appear in Dante's arsenal throughout the series. They are actually part of Dante's hands, and due to this, they have a rate of fire that is closer to a sub machine gun than a normal handgun. Also, they have infinite ammo and Dante doesn't ever have to reload them.
Coyote A.- This is a sawed off double barrel shotgun. It has a slower rate of fire than Dante's other firearms, but it is devastating at close range. Dante is skilled enough in using it to be able to fling it around him like a nunchaku while firing it at enemies at the same time.
The Artemis- This is a demonic laser rifle that can be fired at long range in small but precise shots, or charged and fired as one large ball of energy. The Artemis was once a weapon called Nightmare, but it got upgraded so that it would not consume Dante's demonic energy when fired.
The Spiral- This is basically a rocket launcher that can be used against enemies that have heavy armour. It is slow and inaccurate, but all it takes is one hit to destroy normal demons. It is extremely large and heavy, so Dante's movement is restricted when he is aiming it.
The Kalina Ann- This is a rocket launcher with a grappling hook. While not as damaging as the Spiral, the Kalina Ann can be used to get Dante to higher ground, and it can also be used to pull enemies towards Dante and vice verse. It actually belongs to Lady and it is named after her deceased mother.
Lucifer- This is a shoulder mounted weapon that produces an infinite number of enchanted red spikes. These spikes can be used both offensively and defensively. They can be stuck into enemies, or they can be thrown around Dante so that enemies cannot reach him. Dante can detonate the spikes by throwing a rose to the ground.
Pandora- This is basically the Devil's briefcase. It may seem harmless at first sight, but this monster is capable of transforming into 666 different demonic weapons, each with its own cool name. Of course, you can only use a few during the game.
These are all the forms available:
Jealousy- A gatling gun.
Grief- A large shuriken.
Epidemic- A bow that fires two exploding projectiles at a time.
Hatred- A rocket launcher that fires three missiles at a time.
Revenge- A particle beam that can be charged for a more devastating attack.
Argument- A floating, missile firing tank that Dante can sit in.
Omen- Dante just opens the briefcase, and a bright light bathes the area, killing all enemies on the screen.

Dante

Dante himself is a deadly weapon. He is formidable enough in his human form, but he can go into a much more powerful demon form if there is a need. This is called Devil Trigger. In Devil Trigger form, Dante is faster, stronger, and pretty much invulnerable. Dante can also change his fighting style during combat. He has five different styles.
Swordmaster is a style that heavily amplifies the damage Dante's swords deal. It also enables him to juggle an opponent or strike an enemy multiple times in mid air.
Gunslinger is a style that increases the damage and firing speed of Dante's guns. It also enables him to fire Ebony and Ivory in all directions and even perform stylish but risky moves with his handguns.
Trickster is a style that causes Dante to become much more agile. It enables him to change direction is mid air, and he can also easily dodge enemy blows and counter attack.
Royal Guard is a style that fully utilises Dante's defensive capabilities. While Dante cannot move when he is defending, he can make a quick counter attack and use the enemies force against itself, usually resulting in an instant kill.
Dark Slayer is originally Vergil's style of attack, but Dante has since learned how to use it. The only weapon that works with this style is Yamato. Dark Slayer is unique from the other styles because it requires you to tap a button twice to activate it, while the other style only require one press.
Also, when Dante goes into different stlyes, he will say out the name of the style that he is going into. For example, he will say "Swordmaster!" when he is going into Swordmaster style. However, when he is going into Dark Slayer, he will just say "Dead set!".

Devil May Cry 4 was released last year for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. If you like action games, you will like this game. It is full of fast paced, stylish action and it is quite challenging on the higher difficulties. I bought it on launch day, and it cost $90 then, but the price has since gone down to about $50. It is definately worth checking out.
You might want to know that this game doesn't have any online functions at all, so there are no downloadable content or leaderboards. Also, the PC version doesn't support mouse and keyboard. Instead, it assumes that you have a game pad connected to you PC and it has the same control scheme as the Xbox 360 version.

I went to meet Kim in the morning to help her out with some JC stuff, then my parents took me to a traditional doctor and now I need to go for some detox thing to improve my skin problem. Vegetarian and no going out much for the next 10 days. Great.
I also walked around in Toa Payoh for a while after that, then I tried to play my new Xbox when I got home. The thing is crappy man. I think they gave me a noob unit. I cannot play any game at all for more than 30 minutes without it hanging. Calling customer service again on Monday =.=
I saw this trailer on IGN.com. Another movie for me to watch :D It is a Harold and Kumar/American Pie style movie, which is what I like. Check the trailer out:
There's also this cool Half Life 2 live action "Escape from City 17" video. If you've actually played this in the game, it is going to be so much more awesome to watch:
