Hello. The topic for today is:

The Wii is a monster. Everyone knows about it, it outsells the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 combined, and it has more than three times the amount of games than other consoles. But that doesn't mean that all the games are great, neither does it mean that the Wii the the best console among the three.
Sure, if you're a casual gamer, then the Wii is awesome. If you're even the least bit hardcore, the Wii will get old fast. That's what happened to me. When I first played it at my cousin's house, I even considered buying one for myself, but now I can't stand it. In fact, if you go onto the forums in any gaming websites, "My Wii is collecting dust" is one of the most commonly seen statements.
Still, tons of people are buying it, and in order to keep the casual gaming crowd happy, developers make many casual games. While there are good casual games, majority, and by majority I mean about 95%, of them are crap. The situation is so bad right now that now one trusts the "Official Nintendo Seal of Quality" stamps on game boxes anymore.
Recently, things are starting to change. Real games are beginning to emerge more frequently on the Wii. As it is right now, there are enough good games on the Wii for me to make a list out of. So, in no particular order, here are 5 Wii games that you should bother about.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Super Smash Brothers Brawl
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Average Review Score: 9.4/10
What is it about: Super Smash Brothers Brawl is a fighting game that features pretty much every single character that has ever appeared on a Nintendo console. I can be played by up to four players.
After choosing their characters, all players will have to fight each other on a small battlefield. While characters and environments are 3D, the game plays in 2D. Due to this, the battlefields have several platforms to fight on, and characters can fall off platforms and get killed.
Each character has a set of unique moves, as well as a cool looking special move. Most characters also have a gliding or double jump move to save them from falling to their deaths. While most characters are Nintendo originals, there are several guests like Solid Snake and Sonic the Hedgehog.
This game has a huge legion of fans, and online tournaments are constantly being held. It is considered one of the best games on the Wii, and one of the most fun fighting games of all times. A sequel has been rumoured to be in the works, and it is expected to be announced at Tokyo Game Show this year.
Here is a trailer of the game:

Super Mario Galaxy
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Average Review Score: 9.7/10
What is it about: Super Mario Galaxy is within the top three highest rated games of all time, and the winner of numerous Game of the Year awards. It was released exclusively on the Wii in 2007, and it has become a multi-platinum selling game ever since. It is also considered the best game on the Wii so far.
As the title suggests, you control Mario in the game, and you have to travel through various galaxies to rescue Princess Peach from Bowser. Each level of the game is considered a galaxy, and there are many different quests to be complete on the various planets that are within each galaxy.
What's unique about this game is the way the game play and environment are constantly changing. Depending on the planet you are on, Mario will be slowed by gravity, or even be able to float due to the lack of gravity.
The game also plays differently depending on the power up Mario has equipped. For example, some power ups may allow Mario to leap higher, opening up new routes and allowing you to encounter new enemies.

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Average Review Score: 9.5/10
What is it about: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess was a launch title for the Wii. It is one of the highest rated games of all times, and it received perfect scores from many major reviewers. It has the biggest game world of all among all games on the Wii, and it probably offers the most game play time as well.
Once again, you play as Link. This time, instead of going up against Ganon, Link is trying to prevent Hyrule from being taken over by a parallel dimension known as the Twilight Realm. In this game, Link has the ability to transform into a wolf, and he is assisted by a mysterious creature named Midna.
Other than the main quest, there are hundreds of other activities that you can do, like fishing or sumo wrestling. The new control scheme for the Wii also allows players to use the Wii remote like a sword, or aim easily to fire arrows.
This is the last game ever to be published for the Gamecube. I guess we can all say that the Gamecube went out with a bang. Also, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is considered the best Zelda game of all time, and it is within the top 30 games ever created.

No More Heroes
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Average Review Score: 8.7/10
What is it about: No More Heroes is the first Wii game that truly caught my attention. From the stylized graphics to the excessive amount of blood in this game, everything about it was plain badass.
You play as Travis Touchdown, a manga/anime/video game fanatic who purchases a beam katana online, thinking that it is a replica. It turns out to be the real deal, and he is drawn into an underground network of assassins.
These assassins are ranked by number, with number 1 being the top. In order to get there, the assassins kill the person one rank higher than themselves. Travis gets tricked into it at first by a woman called Sonia, but he eventually decides to get to number one.
The levels of the game are really unique, with each one having a certian theme. The theme and enemies depends on the boss of the level. For example, there is a level with a boss who uses a large baseball bat as a weapon. The environment is made to look like a baseball stadium, and the enemies resemble baseball players.
This is probably the first truly mature rated game to appear on the Wii. Travis' vocabulary consist majorly of swear words, there is female nudity, and blood spews out of enemies after you cut their body parts off.

Mad World
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Average Review Score: NA
What is it about: Mad World is one of the most anticipated Wii games of 2009. It is unique as it is completely in black and white. However, it actually manages to be more violent than No More Heroes. While everything is in monotone, the galleons blood spilled is still in bright red.
You play as Jack, a hard as nails mercenary who has a retractable chainsaw attached to his wrist. While this weapon can do quite a lot of damage on its own, Jack doesn't really need it because
everything is a weapon to him.
Jack is an expert in hand to hand combat and he will not hesitate to finish his enemies off in the most brutal way possible. The control scheme for the game is awesome because it is very realistic. For example, when snapping some one's neck, you have to pull the Wii remote and the nunchuk in opposite directions.

================================================================================
I was out for most of today. Not going to talk about that because it isn't safe to do so. However, if you would like to know where I went and what I did, please feel free to ask me. I will be more than happy to tell you because it was such an awesome day :D
I'm going to be lazy and stop here. I'm super tired right now and I still need to show Say Yin and
Andrew some pictures of today later. I also want to play some DotA with them later on, so I need to retain some concentration.
Ok, I'm done for today. Thanks for reading. [KOAS Kim!! :D] Ending off, see you tomorrow.
