Hello. The topic for today is:
So now that I've got past what I like and what I didn't about the Watchmen movie, I can do other Watchmen related stuff. For today, I've decided to talk about 5 scenes from the movie which I found cool.
Some of these scenes are from the comic, others are not, but the great combination of words, music and camera work in these scene make them stand out from the rest.

The first cool scene from the movie happens some where in the middle of the film, during the part where Rorschach gets framed and the police surround the building he is in. They ask him to surrender because they have him surrounded. But he is Rorschach.
So he starts looking for household items that could be used as weapons. Once he is happy with his makeshift arsenal, he waits. The police storm the building and the get to the door that Rorschach is behind of. The door is locked, so they try to use a sledgehammer to break it down.
However, right as they are about to hit the door, Rorschach opens it, so the police officer with the hammer slams it into the ground and gets stuck. Rorschach hits him and he flies back and lands onto several other officers.
Rorschach then charges towards them, and he turns a can of aerosol and a small flame into a flamethrower. The officers have to back off now, and Rorschach runs to the upper levels of the house, dousing the stairs with flames as well.
The officers finally reach the top floor of the building, but Rorschach is waiting for them. He kicks an officer, then he fires his grappling hook into the chest of another officer. With two more of their people down, the remaining officers open fire at Rorschach.
But Rorschach isn't done yet. He runs towards a window at the end of the corridor, and he leaps through it. He lands on the ground, and is immediately assaulted by a horde of officers. He puts up quite a fight, knocking back several of them, but they eventually overwhelm him.
With several other officers holding Rorschach down, the detective in charge of the case approaches Rorschach and he pulls of Rorschach's mask. At that point, Rorschach shouts, "No!
Give me back my face!!" in his awesome sounding voice.

The next cool scene also involves Rorschach. This time, he is in prison, and he is not wearing his mask or his usual clothes. Many of the inmates in the prison hate Rorschach because it was him that put them in prison. Many of them wanted him dead.
Ever since Rorschach entered the prison, he had been getting death treats from many of them. Many of the inmates would tell him how badly they were going to hurt him as he walked past their cells. Rorschach doesn't bother replying any of them.
So there's this scene which takes place during meal time at the prison. Rorschach is queuing up for his meal. A prisoner next to him starts taunting him. This guy is secretly holding onto a screw driver, and he plans to stab Rorschach with it.
But Rorschach, being Rorschach, already noticed this, but he just ignores the guy at first. However, when the guy attacks, Rorschach uses his food tray to hit him in the face. With the assailant stumbling backwards, Rorschach breaks the glass panel between him and the food.
He reaches through the broken glass and grabs onto a tray of hot oil, then he splashes it onto the inmate who attacked him. As the guy starts screaming in pain, the officers quickly restrain Rorschach. Before they can drag him away, Rorschach tells everyone, "You misunderstand. I'm not trapped in here with you. You are trapped in here with ME!!"

Then there's the scene where Nite Owl and Silk Spectre bust Rorschach out of the prison. Not much to describe about this since it's a fight scene. Like I already mentioned yesterday, the fight choreography is astounding.
This fight is no different. As Nite Owl and Silk Spectre step into the prison, a group of inmates charge towards them. As the fighting starts, the camera slows at the right points of time, and metal music also starts playing in the background.
At the end of the fight, the only ones left standing in the area are Nite Owl and Silk Spectre. Even the guards that were trying to hold back the prisoners got knocked by the duo as well.

Another cool scene with Rorschach in it. There's this midget underworld boss called The Big Figure in the same prison as Rorschach. He wants Rorschach dead since it was him that sent The Big Figure to prison.
So during the prison riot, he approaches Rorschach's cell with his two large henchmen with the intention of cutting through the cell bars and killing Rorschach. However, after Rorschach outsmarts them and kills both the henchmen, The Big Figure decides to run away.
But Rorschach cannot let that happen. He doesn't let criminals live. So he heads to his psychologists office and demands for his mask and clothes back.
The doctor always asks Rorschach what he sees on a Rorschach ink blot card during their meetings, so after Rorschach puts on his own mask, he asks the doctor what he sees.
Now that he's back to normal, Rorschach calmly walks around the prison looking for The Big Figure. When he finally finds him, The Big Figure desperately runs into a toilet to hide. Nite Owl and Silk Spectre sees Rorschach.
They ask him to follow them, but he tells them that he has to visit the toilet first. He walks into the toilet. The door keeps swing back and forth, so we can constantly see flashes of Rorschach slowing inching towards The Big Figure, who already has his back against the fall.
The door finally stops swinging, and we can no longer see what is happening inside. There is a sound of the toilet flushing, and Rorschach calmly steps out. The three vigilantes leave the prison. After a few seconds, the toilet is still flushing, and water starts flowing out from under the door. The water is red.

The final cool scene happens during the end of the movie, when everyone realises that Ozymandias is the one behind everything, and they all confront him. Ozymandias doesn't have much of a problem handling everyone else, but Dr. Manhattan was a definite threat.
So Ozymandias lures Dr. Manhattan into a room that had intrinsic field generators on the walls. He activates the generators, and Dr. Manhattan is reduced to particles. This is the same thing that happened to Jon Osterman before he became Dr. Manhattan.
With the indestructible man out of the way, Ozymandias proceeds to try and talk sense into the rest of them. Silk Spectre doesn't want to listen, and she uses a gun to fire at Ozymandias at point blank range.
He gets hit by the bullet, and he falls and rolls down a flight of stairs. Silk Spectre walks toward him to check if he really is dead, and he suddenly opens his eyes and he opens his hand. He caught the bullet before it hit him. He then kicks Silk Spectre down to the ground and he gets back up.
All of a sudden, Dr. Manhattan's booming voice is heard. Ozymandias is shocked as he thought that he killed Dr. Manhattan, but Dr. Manhattan was standing right there, towering above the building since he decided to become 100 feet tall at that point of time.
"I'm disappointed Adrian," Dr. Manhattan tells Ozymandias. " Very, very disappointed. Rebuilding myself was the first thing I learnt to do. It didn't kill Osterman, did you think it would kill me?"

I went to buy more stuff today. I went to Peninsular Plaza to look for shoes. I usually have a hard time trying to get shoes since my feet are big and there aren't many stores that have shoes my size.
I walked around from shop to shop, but most of them only had basketball shoes in my size. I needed sport shoes. I finally managed to find a pair of shoes my size at some sports store on the second floor.
They looked alright, and they were on discount, so I bought them. I got a pair of shoes that usually cost $179 for the low price of $39. How awesome is that? I've yet to try running around in the shoes yet, but they are comfortable to walk in.

There was my size!!Then I went to the shop which I go to get band T-shirts, and I bought a bag and two more berms. I think the bag looks a little small when I carry it, because I am big. The shorts are quite comfortable, so I got two pairs with the same design, one in black and one in white.
After buying all those I went back to Tiong Bahru Plaza, and I went to the Sports Link there for a while. I saw a really cool basketball that was selling for $35. I considered buying it, then decided not to since I need cash for other things at the moment.
I'll probably be getting it for myself as a birthday present :D
After that I went home to try out the stuff I bought today. Right now I've gotten everything I wanted to get, and I still have about $70 left from the money me father gave me. I'll probably be saving that cash for another time.
I slacked for a while and played Street Fighter IV. I have now unlocked every hidden character except Seth, Gouken and Akuma. Today I unlocked Cammy, Fei Long, Rose, Gen and Dan. I also figured out how to properly pull off Ultra combos.
I didn't feel like taking any photos at first, but Cammy is such a sexy beast that I had to take some. Since I was taking photos of her, I decided to take some photos of other characters. Check them out:
Unrelated, but why was the Split/Second trailer being aired on the news?
El Fuerte may seem kinda weak at first, but once you know how to use him, he can do crazy shit like that.

This is Gen's Ultra combo. I find it to be one of the coolest in the game.After that I went out for a while, and I got back home and I played a bit of DotA. I'm getting a little too addicted to the game. My eyesight is even getting worse right now. But I don't really care, DotA is so much more important. Sacred Warrior FTW!!
