Hello. The topic for today is:

The world today is ruled by the media. No, actually "ruled" is too lenient a word. Dominated. Yeah, that's more like it. The world today is dominated by the media. The media fabricates things. Stuff we believe in may actually be lies.
And I'm actually going into that industry.
Anyways, I was just thinking, what if we started thinking, "what's the big deal" to all the stuff the media has made to seem significant?
For example, what is the big deal with the global recession anyway? Sure, money has become a problem, but does anyone reading this actually feel the impact? I certainly don't. Still, many people are making a huge deal out of it.

Why? The media is making it seem like such a catastrophe.
Sure, there are the down sides, but why don't we all, for once, be optimists, and look at the benefits the recession is bringing us. Everything is becoming cheaper. I'm not an expert on the prices of most things, but when it comes to video games, I am a god.
An average Xbox 360 game used to cost $75. Now games are costing $61, which is actually the lowest retail price for Xbox games ever, even cheaper than the games for the original Xbox. House prices are falling. If you have a large pool of savings, then get a new house.
See, that's what I'm talking about. Why be pessimistic all the time. The world is actually a really happy place, but it's the humans that **** it all up. "Ohhh, life sucks. Ahhhh, why is all this happening to me?" Damn, grow a ****ing backbone.
Another thing that the media has burned into our minds: Fashion. What's the big deal about having branded goods? A shoe is a shoe. A shirt is a shirt. Clothes are meant to cover you, so why the hell are they priced differently. Even worse, why the hell are we buying the more expensive ones?

If you wear a branded pair of jeans, and you wear a cheaper pair, is there any difference? What, does one make you run faster? Or maybe branded clothes make you look more attractive? Maybe, but isn't it screwed up when people are attracted to you because of your clothes, and not because of you?
Another thing I don't really like is the image of many models, and they impact they have on women. Yes, I do agree that there are some amazing looking models, but as we all know, when there is a good, there must be a bad to balance it.

Of course, men are attracted to them, but most of us would never want to actually go out with a model because we would feel insignificant. A man would rather go out with a woman he is comfortable with, regardless of how she looks is or how she is shaped.
Men aren't bright creatures, there's no denying that, and they may seem especially dull when compared to women. But for some reason, the simple fact that a man doesn't really care how a woman looks like on the outside if he really loves her, cannot be grasped by many women.
The industry also has quite an impact on us when it comes to food. Remember the days when food used to be just food? No chemicals and stuff like that? Of course you don't, because those days were over long before we were born.
Ever since we were young, we were fed food with enhanced vitamins. Now, we have genetically modified food. Meat may still be meat, but we don't know what the animals are being fed. All these are fine. The only real crappy thing that can happen is that one day we all start glowing from all the chemicals we have been eating.
But it really baffles me when it comes to designer food. Really?
Designer food? Premium brands of bottled water. Special varieties of highly priced food. Ice cream made from the finest of ingredients.

Seriously. Water is water. The designer water, and the water coming out of my tap, is the same damn thing. The only differences are, one, designer water is probably pumped full of minerals, which tastes disgusting anyway, and two, designer water actually costs a few dollars.
What's so special about those varieties of food? I don't know. But I do know that most "exquisite" dishes, like caviar and oyster, aren't loved by most people. Also, I've mentioned this before, but I'll say it again. The idea of a $1000 ice cream is just ****ed up.
The media is an evil, cannibalizing industry, and yet, we are all more than willing to fall prey to them. The only media you can ever trust is the game media, because there isn't really much to lie about when it comes to video games.
Gamers are the good guys. Fashion, food, music and everything else are just pure evil.
=================================================================================
I didn't do much today. Just built my wooden guns!! Other that that, I really didn't do that much that is worth mentioning. I played a bit of Street Fighter IV. Damn, I need a new game soon. I'm getting ****ing bored. I went out for dinner, and I got home and played DotA.
Ok, I'm done for today. Thanks for reading. [KOAS KW!!] Ending off, see you tomorrow.
