Hello. I just had my birthday party last night. I'm super pleased by the outcome. That was honestly the best party I've been to in my life. Alright, so I don't go to much parties, but I have gone to enough of them to make a comparison.
To be honest, things started out rough. I didn't confirm much things, like the time to meet and the directions to my house, until a few hours before the party. I did not confirm how many people would be coming.
But as the day progressed, things started falling into place. I walked to Tiong Bahru Plaza with my brother at about 12pm, and I met a group of people there. We had lunch at KFC. I was really happy to see them because it has really been a while. They got me some presents, then we left.
We walked to Tiong Bahru Community Center and we played basketball. It's been a few months since I last played, and my accuracy is seriously off. Also, I wasn't wearing sport shoes, so I had to play bare footed on the scorching ground.
Still, I had a lot of fun playing basketball. A lot of super funny denials and some really nice shots. I realised that my brother is actually pretty good at basketball. After playing for a little more than an hour, we walked back to my house.
Most of us took a shower, and while the rest were waiting for the bathroom to become vacant, we started playing Guitar Hero World Tour. It was fun watching some of them play the game for the first time.
It is always hilarious when some one attempts to sing. But we weren't laughing at the singers, we were laughing with them. There is a difference.
My father and I had to make several car trips to Tiong Bahru Plaza to fetch groups of people. Soon the more "high" people came, and the party really got going.
Now I truly understand why Guitar Hero and Rock Band are considered to be the ultimate party games. When there's just a few of you playing, it's fun, but when you are playing while there is a large group watching, it just becomes freakin awesome.
It's really satisfying when you're playing a song, and people actually start to clap or sing along. When we were playing "Are You Gonna Be My Girl" by Jet, many of us were actually singing along to the song. Incredible experience.
We also played a few other games, like Street Fighter IV, and Halo 3. Street Fighter was fun, but it was hard to teach others how to use Super and Ultra Combos. You usually learn that kinda stuff through trail and error. As for Halo 3, two words: Ernest. Own.
We also played quite a bit of Guitar Hero Metallica, which my brother bought for me. It was awesome to be able to play it with others who actually appreciate Metallica like I do. Metallica's songs may be long, and they require a lot of finger stamina to play through, but when playing with three other Metallica fans, the songs just seem to speed past.
I found the food pretty nice. The fried rice was nice, so was the fish and the chicken. I ordered food meant for 30 people. There was about 25 people there, including my family, and we managed to clear the food quite quickly.
Then it was time to cut my cakes. Yes, cakes. I had two cakes. My mother baked both. One was a heart shaped cake, which said "Happy Birthday Shiva" and it had the words "TPCBSU FTW" on it as well.
The other cake was probably the awesomest cake in all history. It was a circular cake, and it had the Slipknot logo on it. Super cool cake. My mother did a really great job with the "S" symbol. As everyone put it, that was a satanic cake.
After eating the cake, we played a bit more Rock Band, then we all walked down to Tiong Bahru Plaza. A few of us went to Mos Burger to slack. I ate supper there. We just sat around and took several photos, then they left.
I walked back home with Andrew and Yeow Boon, because they were staying over. We watched Harold and Kumar: Go To White Castle, then we just used the Internet for a while. We played Hotel 626 to the end, and it is honestly not scary any longer after playing it a few times.
We slept at 2:30am, because we planned to wake up at 8am and go to McDonalds for breakfast. What actually happened was that we woke up at 8am, then all three of us went back to sleep. When we all woke up again, it was already 9.30am. Andrew left first, then Yeow Boon left after breakfast.
By 11am I was alone at home, since my parents brought both my siblings to Toa Payoh for tuition. I made a few phone calls, and I got another great birthday present. Not really an object kind of present, but still an awesome present nonetheless. We should do that again :D
Now I would like to mention my heartfelt words of appreciation to all who came.
Thank you for coming and helping to make it the best party of my life. Tiong Bahru is quite a distance from most of your houses, and it's really nice of you guys to make the trip.
Thank you for considering for those who couldn't make it. Don't worry, there will always be another time :D
Thank you for being understanding about my satanic cake.
Thank you for enduring the fact that there weren't any girls.
Thank you for this basketball.

Thank you for this [black :D] controller.

Thank you for Guitar Hero Metallica.

Thank you for The Godfather II.

Thank you for this notebook.

Thank you for this [freakin cool] Death Note pen.

Thank you for the hearts :D

Thank you for the experience :D [I can't put a photo of this. lol.]
And finally, thank you to everyone who wished me!!
Seriously guys, thank you so much for everything you have done for this party.
I love the stuff you guys gave me. We already used the basketball for a few fun matches. Now I won't have a controller shortage problem when there are visitors. What's more, the new controller is in sexy black!!
We all unleashed our inner metal gods that day while playing Guitar Hero Metallica. I've been having a blast playing The Godfather II. The executions are sexily brutal. I'm planning to combine the Death Note pen and the notebook.
I'm going to dub the note book my Sex Note. It works the same way as a Death Note. The hearts just further supports the fact that everyone loves me :D The experience just blew my mind away. It was that awesome.
But of course, the best gift all of you have given me is your friendship!! Also, your presence there was more than enough to make me happy :D
I really enjoyed myself last night. I'm probably going to hold a gathering again, maybe at the end of the year or so. By then, I would have made quite a few female friends from poly, so it will be a much better party.
Once again, thank you for coming, and thanks for all the presents. Hope to see all of you really soon.
Some photos of the party:

These were taken with my phone camera, so the quality isn't really that good. If you want to see more photos, head to Joseph Ng's facebook account. There are two albums of photos there. Once again, I'll upload videos once blogger sorts out its video uploading system.
Ok, I'm done for today. Thanks for reading. [KOAS KW!!] Ending off, see you tomorrow.
